Printer installs
I have a Dell XP based laptop. Fresh install of XP at that.
It wont install printers - ive tried several. It always comes up with the error
" Device install error - Windows could not load the installer for printer. Contact your hardware vendor...."
When I go to Add Printer to add a network printer I instantly get the message "Printers - operation could not be completed"
Ive added a PCMCIA USB card - as thats what I suspected first. Ive downloaded the latest Windows Installer
Im baffled. Anyone help here please...........
If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

laptop has gone back to its owner as she needs it over the weekend. Everything else on it works fine. I'll check when it comes back, thanks.
