Print Jobs remain in the print queue until PC is restarted
Hi, Hope some one can help. We have multiple users connected to a HP LJ4050 via the jetdirect card. All users run Win 98 SE, on a NT 4 system. All users can print fine except one. When she prints all the print jobs remain in the print queue, until she restarts her PC. Once logged back onto the network. The message " xx Jobs are pending ... do you wish to print" she clicks yes and all print jobs are printed. This has only started to happen in the past few days. Any ideas or help would be grateful. Cheers !

This may sound obvious but her printer drivers might be corrupted. Delete the printer & reinstall the latest drivers.

Just to humor me a bit you might also check to see if the printer properties\defaults are set to "Use offline, or Pause" and if so uncheck that.

A quick way to empty your spool, that's the place where the 'queue' is kept is to go Start>Find>Spool. Find Spool them go Printers (as opposed to fax)then empty everything in the printers que.
It sounds like you do have a corrupted drivers problem. You probably recently reinstalled the printers without uninstalling the previous version completely.
Another thing you might try is to get ahold of the names of the drivers to you printer(if you can) and if you find any of them still in your computer after you have uninstalled it, and rename them with an xxx file extension. This nullifies them.
