What Is Optimal AGP Aperture Size?
Greetings:
Motherboard:
- ABIT-BF6 flashed to most recent BIOS
- 2 x AGP
- 2 x 256 ram + 1 x 128 ram = 640MB ram
Graphics Card
- AGP nVidia GeForce2 Ultra 64MB
Question 1:
Does the AGP aperture size in BIOS make a difference if the video is powered by video card?
Questions 2:
If it does make a difference . . . what would be the optimal setting? (The aperture setting range from 64-256).
Many thanks!

The purpose of the AGP Aperature is for the video card to use the system memory when its own memory runs out. I am not exactly sure what it does for performance as I have never really tested it. If you have 640MB of system ram I'd say setting it for 128MB or 256MB should do you fine. Maybe this weblink can explain more. http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/...ing/vidcard/43
