Can you get into the BIOS?
If so, look for parameter "Reset user configuration data = disable" (or "no") in an "Advanced BIOS settings".
Set it to "Enable" or "Yes" - it should solve the problem.
Make sure you have enabled BIOS updating (via hardware switch on MB or in BIOS). It sometimes called "BIOS flash protection" - make sure sure that protection is disabled (so BIOS can be updated)...
Sometimes CMOS resetting can help too.
If it didn't help, I would suspect BIOS chip is may have corrupted data or CMOS battery is low.
Good luck!

This btw can also be called 'NVRAM'.
