According to this page <a href="http://www.all-laser.com/error50.html" target="_blank">http://www.all-laser.com/error50.html</a> , you may be able to clear the error by turning off the printer for at least 20 minutes.
This document from HP <a href="http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpl70184.html" target="_blank">http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpl70184.html</a> says that error 50 means a bad or poorly seated fuser. This can be a result of poor AC power, so try moving the printer to another circuit without anything else plugged into it, to see if the problem goes away.
If that doesn't work, the fuser may have to be repaired or replaced by an authorized HP repair depot.
