Both CD-RW and DVD Roms not working
Hello,
I just transfered all of my information from one IDE harddrive to a newer S-ATA hard drive. My two drives are a Optorite CD-RW CU4801 and DVD Rom(which in the device manager shows it as JLMQ- HD164S). It seemed like they worked fine and then something went wrong within the past couple of weeks. Now they show that the devices are there in the my computer, but whenever I put a CD in it doesn't show or can't read it. I even tried to put in the windows CD and do a windows restore but it doesn't read the CD when I restart the computer. AHHH!!! I can't do anything with both Drives, which means i'm basically screwed. the device manager also shows that the drives are in working order however they are not.

Ok nevermind. It ended up being a nasty virus. What I noticed is it changed the name of my drives and somehow windows couldn't recognize them and just stoped working. Whatever. Nice forum.
