i cant use my HP 710c printer inder winXP cuz for some reason windows haven't install parallel port's driver automatically and it can't find a suitable driver on the cd.
under win98 the printer works fine.

Go here for <a href="http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpd09005.html" target="_blank">HP Deskjet Printers - Microsoft (R) Windows XP Installation Instructions for Add Printer Wizard Drivers</a>. It has step-by-step instructions for Manual installation of the drivers if the plug-n-pray feature did not automatically install the drivers.
It also tells you to make sure that your LPT (parallel) port is set to ECP in your BIOS settings.

hp's site hasn't helped me!
the printer is listed as it installed but i still cant print: the 'printer tasks' icon appears for 3 sec and then disappears without any error!
can't install parallel port's drivers under winXP
