Possible Virus, Desktop Icons reversed color
Good Morning,
I have a Win 98SE box with AMD-K63D and 128Mb RAM. I started to work on it, and the desktop icons reversed their color. (Example: Red IE icon, blue Ad-Aware icon, bluish folders, ect.) I scanned for viruses, removed two trogans. Removed a bunch of spyware. Uninstalled and re-installed the display adaptor (Trident Blade 3D/MVP4 (63)) all to no avail. When I installed the new version of Ad-Aware, the icon placed on the desktop was the correct color. However, if I try to update or chage a shorcut icon, it will change, but retain the incorrect coloration. All the shortcuts work, but it just is very odd.

Awsome. Shutdown machine to see why second CD-RW wasn't working, checked all the connections, powered back on, no video. Onboard video. Put a PCI video card in, no video. Pulled everything out, RAM, Drives, PCI cards, powered on, nothing, just the sound of fans spinning. Failing MB just failed completely. Fantastic.
