Problem with Teac x 10 External CDRom Drive! DESPERATELY NEED HELP!
I seem to be having a problem with an External CD-Rom drive,
known as the Teac 10x PORTADisc. It seems that whenever I try to install it's drivers from the bootdisk, or whatever it is on floppy, also known as CD211PE.exe (I think...), I seem to be getting an error message:
"Not installed card service."
"Please install card service before use."
I am using a VERY OLD LAPTOP, which is a Toshiba "T4850CT."
I have also noticed another person with this problem,
(http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?t=31985)
who posted a thread but in the progress of FIVE YEARS,
he was not responded to... SO I thought I might as well
just renew it.

You need to install the PCMCIA card drivers for your laptop.
An OS would be of some help here
A quick ferret on the Toshiba site reveals only drivers for Win3x or OS2, so I would assume that they are there by default in Win95/98.
If you are running 95/98 & this was an upgrade, you may find that there are problems with PCMCIA, but we still need more details
Cheers
