Sometimes in Notebook computers the CMOS Battery can be accessed from one of the access panels on the bottom of the computer. It may be in the battery compartment or memory compartment. Usually it is connected by a simple connector and all you should have to do is unplug it and wait a few seconds and plug it back in and it should reset your CMOS settings. Unfortunately I have very little experience working on Toshiba Laptops, but I will look to see if I can find any tech documents that may be helpful.

There are quite a few BIOS reseters on the web. Some are free. Just Google for them. They will reset the BIOS or just the password to defaults (no passwords).

Sounds like this password is required to actually allow the laptop to boot - Unfortunatly from bitter previous experience without this password I doubt there is much you can do without sending the laptop to someone to have the password removed. Good Luck
All sorts of wonderful things in life.

Nope. The laptop will boot from the CD or floppy which contains the BIOS reset program. No Password is needed for that. This is specifically to allow password resets to occur (same as the CMOS Reset jumpuer on the motherboard of a desktop/tower system.
