USB2.0 cardbus freezes computer
here is the problem. I am trying to update to a USB2.0 by using USB 2.0 Dual Port PCMCIA Cardbus on my laptop, Presario 2199US, which has Texas Instruments PCI1410 CardBus Controller. When i put the card in, it is recognized and and installed, when i connect a camera, or a DVD burner through the card, they are also recognized, but as soon as i try to read from my camera or DVD burner the computer freezes. If the card is taken out the computer unfreeses. I have Win XP with service pack 2, i have updated my Bios, and driver for my LAN card. I could not find an updated driver for the PCI1410 controller. Does anybody have a sugestion what can i do so the computer would not freeze?
Thanx for the help
Alex.

Driver Terrier
Check at compaq for a bios/firmware update. .. but this sounds like it's freezing because the slot is not supplying enough power.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Got the updated BIOS, still the same problem
If this is a power problem, can anything be done? I did connect the card to the power adopter.
