Export Shares To Word or Excel?
Is there way i can export the shares on my Windows 2000 Server to Excel or Word? I would like to have a print out of all of the shares and subdirectories underneath them. Any help would be highly appreciated!

I would try ShareEnum from SysInternals.
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ShareEnum.html
It has an export function.

You're right - it doesn't do subdirectories. The way windows treats shares, only the base folder is shared and all the share properties (which users have which access) tends to be inherited by all the child objects. This lets you add or remove subfolders to a share without having to specifically share that folder and set up user permissions.
It is possible on NTFS to specify non-inherited permissions on folders and files (so that a subdirectory is shared differently than its parent) but this can get really messy in a hurry.
Anyway - try this program out:
http://www.spadixbd.com/freetools/jdirprint.htm
It can print out all the subdirectories of a share. I suppose if your PC in question is named "Server" or something, in JDIRPRint you would feed it the UNC path "\\Server" and have it run. It gets all the files too.
You might also want to try TreePrint

Here is a link to a page that has it for download:

You would use TreePrint much the same way - once it is installed, right-clicking a folder in explorer gives you the option to save a list of folders (also gives you options to set options, folder depth, etc. Treeprint drops it out as a textfile treemap.
