I built my system three years ago and I am using 400 watt power supply
which cost me $130. I have about the same you have except water cooler.
You can probably go with a GOOD power supply 500 watt and PAY more than
100.00 and I believe you will be ok. I also blow mine out every two months.

Don't overclock (that much) and you should be ok. The power consumption of a device grows very much with the frequency. At a certain point the circuits simply short your power supply - transistors need a certain time to switch off. Put a bigger power supply and something else will blow.

I too recommend the Enermax (I thinK). I had a Enermax 356W for only about a year. I was having trouble loosing video signal in mid game (BF2) and also in 3DMark2005. After testing all other parts (thinking it can't be my Enermax), I swapped with a 350W Antec and problem is gone. I plugged the Enermax into a old machine for the kids and it popped a cap right away. I know the Wattage is a bit low but my gaming machine is not that hardcore. A7N8X, XP 3000, 2GB DDR400, 6600GT.
Regarding the Antec. I'm also a big fan of them. However about a month ago I was building a machine for a customer with a new Antec SLK2650-BQE. As soon as I powered up I could hear a fairly loud high pitch squeal. It was the 350W Antec PS. I swapped it out. I am now considering using some different case but have not yet found a suitable alternative.
Newegg has a great deal on a Thermaltake power suppy. Also consider a Seasonic or Power PC and Cooling.
Indeterminism. There's nothing you can do about it.
