Bad SoundDriver, error 80070057 and No Audio Device
Is there any way to fix this? I didn't install/uninstall anything today or recently, also, I tried to install the latest DirectX (after a google search told me that would fix it) and it doesn't seem to be working.
If you are to tell me how to fix it, please use steps or 'layman's terms', considering I'm not exactly a computer whiz. Thank you in advance
(Please do not tell me to use the disk that came with the computer to reinstall it, as I do not have that disk any longer.)
Information [I'm not sure how relevant this stuff is, tell me if you need something else, I'm using EVEREST Ultimate Edition]:
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
DirectX: 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)
CPU: AMD Athlon XP, 1533mhz 1800+
Video Adapter: S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR (16mb)
Audio Adapter: Realtek ALC202(A) @ VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller
