Win 2000 Server restarts (almost) randomly
Hi there:
Here we are, with our loyal server becoming unstable: it has started to restart any time it becomes lazy; i mean, if we are running any process on it, it makes the work, but if the server gets out of duty, it restarts.
The HW highligths: an Aopen AX3S-U Mobo, with PIII 866 MHz, with a 250 W power supply. It has 256 Mb of RAM and w2k server with all SP and patches.
Any idea?
If there's any more i can tell, dont hesitate to ask!
Thanks in advance.

When a server start acting like that usually:
- bad ram
- disk fragmentation too high
- temps near full
those are the first and easyest fix.
give that a try and come back with the results

What error gets logged? Have you run a RAM test? Also 256M seems waaaaay too low, even for 2K. Also at the first glance it doesn't even support ECC... Maybe it is time to upgrade to a real server
