    Post Original bios password!

    Anybody know a bios that has a backdoor password of things such as open sesme? I'm curious to know.

    Yes. There are hacks for AMI and AWARD BIOS chips, but they sometimes don't work depending from the version.

    You need to give more information. What are you trying to do? If you mean that the BIOS is password protected and you've lost the original, try locating the jumper that resets the configuration on the mobo. If it's a decent board it should be clearly labelled.

    I believe, he wants to know if you can use other passwords than the original one to access the BIOS without having to short the battery.

    hehe that would be pretty funny if they all did that. passwords would be useless then. I would have fun at school lol

    Belive or not it is true there are master passwords for bios's - I used to know one that worked on older Award bios's it didnt matter what the mb was it would always work. But Ive forgotten it now. And it didnt work on newer ones

    Dr Jam is right, do a search on any search engine and you'll turn up dozens of pages that list all the master passwords for different BIOS'es....

    Yep on Yahoo! there's a lot of password to try, If anything else work, remove your CMOS and replug it. That's all!

    Try to remove the battery for 1 minute or look at http://www.ping.be/bios for more bios answer and tool like "killcmos"
