    lsass.exe problem

    when i boot up and get past the windows logo and loading bar, a pop up comes up with lsass.exe as title and says something about 'when updating a password' then these other stuff that i could read because my computer restarts after wards, how do i fix this?

    Big 'L' or a little 'l' in 'lsass.exe'? Sounds like a virus/malware to me ...

    Indeed it is a virus/malware as confus-ed states
    try this www.symantec.com look for (virus removal tools) lsass.exe is listed .there is one more thing if you are running win xp you must disable system restore before using the virus removal tool good luck

    it would be kinda hard because i cant even log in to my computer, after the windows xp logo and loading bar, it goes blue then the lsass.exe pops up and it restarts the computer after 10seconds

    I don't 'get it' anymore than you -sometimes suggestions mean a lot to those who make them & not a lot to anybody else.

    I'd suggest that you use the working machine you are posting via to make yourself some sort of bootable virus scanning disk (by rights you should've used your current anti-virus product to make one of these already), boot from that & do a full scan & that ought to fix it up.
