All I know is my X2 4400+ runs about 25 - 27 degrees celcius when idle and barely hits 40 degrees C under a load. But most AMD CPUs have a threshold of about 70 - 90 Degrees Celcius depending on the model and generation.

Keep in mind good case cooling, and the right airflow (front-->intake, rear-->exhaust) also affect the cpu temperature, as the higher the ambient air temperature, the hotter the air being used by the CPU fan.

Well...I asked about highest allowed numbers.
    Are the same for both?

Is there any problem if I go over 50? (53)

(I want avoid fans because of the noise, but please stay at the POINT)

A little bit of noise is a hell of a lot better than a fried computer. But 53 degrees should be good, but if you are nearing 60 I would be careful.

If you are concerned about noise they do make fans that are nearly silent. They cost a bit more. But I wouldn't build a computer without a front intake fan and a rear exhaust fan. It is better for all the componants.

Theres no silent fan. I want piece and quite. If 53 oC is good for Amd athlon 64 3200+ (after a 3D game only, and in the Summer) and 72 oC is good for 6600gt, then I m ok and without any fans... right? (full tower Chieftec is really good!)

What is the right temp for m/b, HD?
(Asus A8V-Deluxe, Asus A7N8X-X, ide WD 80GB, sata WD 160GB, sata Maxtor 300GB)

I have an AMD athlon 64 3200+ and it runs around 30 celcius even after a game, Call of duty
What brought my system down was the nforce 4 chipset getting around 55 c , , this was on a nice DFI board complete with useless chipset fan, I have since quit using this board in favor of my A8NSLI premuim and a single gforce 7900 gt, This baby outperforms my old dual 6600gt setup and is simple
Now your video card temp is a concern, I would use one of those Zalman video card coolers, I had two and could barly hear them and I have good hearing
I also run a Zalman CPU cooler, nice and quiet
If your running SLI , Make sure there are two slots between your video cards to ensure there will be room for the Zalman video coolers
The 6600 gt is still a good card for the money
    Format c I'm givin er all she's got cap'in !!! )

Yes, u have 30 probably because of your 30 fans...
But I want a really silent pc.

About 6600gt, yes I already use a zalman Cu cooler...Because the albatron fan was a noisy disaster!! Now its peacefull at 50-55 oC, after a 3D game goes over 70.

I have also used zalman cooling system in my older cpu s.
    No SLI.

    Now, how about my questions??...

I run at 30 with the normal amount of fans, 30 fans would drive me nuts, Now for you, Your temps are a wee bit warm for my liking, the 70 c for your video concerns me, Your games could crash from the video over heating
If you want to avoid fans then there is not much you can do to run cooler, Unless you want the expense of water cooling
Your CPU seems OK even at 50c
I would just make sure all your cables are neatly routed to encourage good airflow in your case ( If you havn't done that already )
Just to let you Know I run two Antec tri cool 120 mm case fans set at the lowest speed setting, I can barly here them, Maybe one of these at the rear to promote air circulation
    I hope this has helped
You can also check AMD's website they should give you the maximumj temps for your CPU, This link should get you the PDF file on your cpu
You will need a PDF reader such as Foxit pro to read this document , You can get it at this link

    And the AMD document here

It appears that your questions have been answered. No need to be rude about it. You can always try to look it up on Google if you don't like the answers you're getting here.

I believe the max fail temperature for most AMD CPU's range from 69 degrees C for single core 64-bit CPU's to 50-65 degress C for Duel Core CPU's (depending on Wattage).

welcome back to Windrivers Spirit & Morality.

Sounds like you might need to look at liquid cooling units if you want to stay away from the noise created by fans. If not, then be prepared to replace it when it burns up.
