Change monitoring and audits
I have recently started have a problem with a couple of users on my network. They have full control of a bunch of folders on a 2003 server and they do actually need full control. My problem is someone is changing permissions on those folders and nobody will own up to who is changing stuff. The standard windows audit logs are not cutting it and I need something more robust. I just did a bit of research on Tripwire (www.tripwire.com) and like it, but it costs so blasted much.
Does anyone use a software package/suite that can do file and folder change monitoring that incudes permission changes and will log who actually made the changes?
As usual, thanks for any and all advice.

It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!
