remote control safe mode
Does anyone know a way to remote control an XP computer thats has been booted into safe mode w/ networking?
We have tried the built in tool but I am thinking there is some service that needs to be kicked off or running and safe mode turns it off.
Thanks

Q...anyone know a way to remote control an XP computer thats has been booted into safe mode w/ networking? ..
A . Grow some really long arms ?
Well according to my box, Remote Desktop Help Session Manager only has one dependency, & that's remote procedure call - which ought to be going, if safemode with networking was selected ..
..Safe Mode with Networking (SAFEBOOT_OPTION=Network): This option uses a minimal set of device drivers and services to start Windows together with the drivers that you must have to load networking...
So I suppose check that RPC is on (& also the help session manager service), but lots of spyware/malware likes to attack this specifically, so I might start with that, however all this would depend on why this user is having to resort to safe mode, in the first place ..

I have had to use Remote Desktop several times in safe mode w/networking and have had no problems doing so.
Make sure the RDP is running.
