    Plug USB Devices Again

    Hi!
Is there any way to "plug USB devices again" without
"unplug it & plug it" again in Windows?
I mean when one click on USB devices tray & select the menu
"Safely Remove Device" the USB device will be disconnected.
What can I do to connect it again without unplug it?
    Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what you are asking? I have a LEXAR jump drive that I
plug in and out without accessing task bar. USB can be plugged and unplugged while computer is running.

Here is how it works under XP Pro.

If you connect the device, then look at it's properties and select Policies you get 2 choices:

1 - optimize for quick removal (no safe removal process necessary)

2 - optimize for performance (safe removal process necessary)

edit: There are reasons why there is a safe removal process BUT that wasn't yoiur question was it.

Why would you click "safely remove devices" and then not remove the device?

Dune, the short answer is "no". Do a safe removal for the device, but leave it plugged in. If you go to Device Manager, you'll find the drive flagged with a big yellow exclamation sign. Right click on the drive, select properties, and the properties dialog box will tell you that the device has been stopped but not removed and can only be restarted by unplugging/re-plugging it. Or a reboot.

Ever think of a USB extender? Same reason people get a USB extender is because they only have USB ports on the back of the computer.
