 Canon A510 won't connect to Win XP
I have a Dell P4 Win XP Pro SP2 2.4 Ghz computer. I have tried to connect this Canon A510 Digital Camera but everytime it prompts me for the drivers. I called Canon tech support and they tell me I have to have full administrative rights for this to connect and that the PTP(picture transfer protocol) works automatically with the camera and no drivers are necessary. But every time I connect the camera windows prompts me for the drivers. Yes, I am working on a administrative account and tried to load is in safe mode and the same thing happens. How can I eliminate the prompt and have it connect automatically???
