MoviePass.tv.... spyware?
I have a customer complaining about moviepass.tv pop-up that won't go away. They say you must reboot the computer to get rid of it and then it shows up very quickly again. They have an up-to-date version of Norton Internet Security.... 2005 version, I think and it doesn't detect it.
Anyone else run into it yet? I googled it, and a couple of paid advertisers have free killers... that's a red flag for me. I can probably use Hijack this to find and remove it, but any help before I go on-sight will help.
Thanks in advance,
Dean

Thanks Ferrit.
That's the basic stuff. I was wondering if any one has run into this one yet. It looks fairly new. I guess it is fairly agreesive. It is relatively easy to clean up... Symantec has a page on it. They are calling it Trojan.muvipaz / moviepass.tv. Norton gets it, but there are some registry entries to deal with.
Thanks again,
Dean
