Help finding mp3 player driver
I have an 'mpman' mp3 player although the driver software disc that came with it only works on Win98 and I have WinXP. Do I need to download the exact driver version, or is there a universal driver that will enable me to transfer tracks to and from the mp3 player? (The player is not Plug & Play.) When I view the firmware version via the player itself I find:
v1.3-xc-sn320
(No idea if that helps)
Thanks,

p.s. Sorry if this is the wrong category

Welcome to Windrivers AudiTy.
You don't say which mpman you have. Here are XP drivers for the MP-F70:

Thankyou!
Unfortunately I have no idea about what model it is otherwise I could of probably found the drivers myself.
All it says on the front is:
"DIGITAL MP3 PLAYER"
"MP3 PLAYER DVR"
"MP3/WMA/REC"
"(mp)man"
Inside the back cover there are no details that indicate the model. Any other suggestions?

Google it. It looks like your just going to have to do it by trial and error 'til you find one that works, wish I could be of more help.

I have checked the mpman website, and the one that looks most like mine is the MP-Ki. It says it's plug and play, and that if you have WinXP then it will auto recognise the player. When I plug it in, it recognises it as a 'USB 2.0 Flash Drive' and 'Mass Storage Device' and then initiates the New Found Hardware Wizard.
If it was plug and play it wouldn't do that would it? I'm thinking maybe it is plug and play because that would explain why there was only a windows 98 driver with it.
Any further suggestions?
Thanks
