Simple Cd Burning Question Prolly
If your burning a cd and the content is over the size of the cd does it auto make it a second volume or do you have to split it up yourself?
I have never done this so I was just gonna ask I would just move to a dvd if that was the problem.

Roxio v.7.x and 8.x will take your data and tell you how many CDs/DVDs you need and it will automatically split the data up. The only problem is I have come across some data files becoming corrupt when doing this. So it is still probably best to split the data into 700MB chunks as best as you can.

A program I have used in the past for this sort of thing is "Sorted" by Red Eyed Monster.
http://redeyedmonster.co.uk/sorted.php
It takes a little bit to figure out - but then it can split a big set of files into folders of your choice of size. For instance, let's say you had 4 GB of MP3s and you wanted to burn them all to CD. You would tell Sorted to split into directories of say 690MB each. It would make the six directories or so that you would need and fills each directory as close to possible to the limit; all you would need to do then is copy each directory to a CD. You don't need to keep track of which files you have already put on CD.
