Internal Wireless Card w/o internal antenna
Has anyone tried using an internal wireless card without an antenna?
I got ahold of an Intel Pro 2100 Wireless and I want to install it on my Evo N600c.
I want to replace the Mini-PCI Modem card with the wireless card. Will it work without the antenna or is it useless without it?

Just depends on how far away from the other device it is. I have a computer at home with a linksys wireless card in it, and I don't have the antenna attached, but it is directly above the wireless access point which is on the floor below it, so the signal is really only travelling about 10ft. at most.
Before I moved this computer, I did have the antenna on it, just no faceplate, since it uses a half-height pci slot as well.

If wireless is an option on the Evo the antena wires should actualy be there, you jyst have to hook them up....
