    Weird Power Saving Issue?

    I'm working on an E-machine right now that seems to power down or go into suspend without cause. This can happen before windows has finnished loading, or after it has been sitting idle for 1-5 minutes. I've never seen anything like this before.

    How old is the machine and what are the spec of the machine. Sounds like a overheating issue. Do you have anyway to monitor the temp of the processor?
    This might sound stupid but have you checked all the fans.

    It's a E-Machines T2542 2.50 Ghz Celeron.
