VGA Drivers for P4m800-m7
Hi Folks,
I have currently upgraded my board to a p4m800-m7, but the CD that I got along with the board does not install the drivers for the board. Currently I am dependent on the Win XP Generic Display drivers. I have tried downloading various drivers from viaarena.com and biostar drivers, but the Device manager shows that my VGA is using generic drivers.
Due to this most of the games do not work. Esp Empire Earth.
Please feel free to ask any other details you need to know about my pc's config.
Requesting you to help me find the correct drivers for my board.
Thanks,
Amol

Tried installing the http://driver1.biostar.com.tw/suppo...ion4in1456v.exe it got installed but the VGA in the Device manager is still a "?".
Currently I'm running on the generic drivers by XPSP2. And there's nothing other than that to uninstall. Should I uninstall those? and try ?

If there is an .inf file in the folder you created for the updated drivers, go into device manager, select the video card, click update driver, tell windose to mind it's own business and direct the search to the folder you made and that should do it.

did you try installing the second driver, which is for your graphics chip, that OMG gave you the link to? You said you only installed the chipset deriver from the first link

Welcome to Windrivers nayan
Do you have exactly the same motherboard? Did you install the Via Hyperion 4 in 1 drivers before trying to install the video drivers? What windows do you have?

yes. exactly same mother board.
i have windows xp professional edition
I have followed the two links given in threads in this discussion.
prior to that windows generic drivers were working but when i tried playing games first time yesterday, i found that ? beside video controller. it finds video controller and then does not find driver for the same.
the error message are the same as mentioned in threads.
i had bought this motherboard around same time frame as mentioned by amol...may 2006.
I haven't tried what you mentioned.

ok, we cross posted... sorry about that
this is the correct reference driver give that a go.
I think this may be a mix up between the unichrome and the unichrome pro.
