    RESOLVED: Keep losing secondary monitor

    Hello all,

    Just went through the XP reinstall from hell this week. Finally back up and running.

    Here's the small problem. Running dual Samsung LCD's on a XP SP2 machine, ATI X800 series PCIE video card.

    Using either the control panel, or the Catalyst control center, I can enable dual monitors. But, whenever I reboot, it defaults to single monitor view. I've got the latest version of catalyst, latest monitor drivers, all XP updates are installed.

    Just can't seem to track down what's causing this. It'll come back from a login with two monitors up, and after a second or three, shuts down the secondary.

    Any ideas would be welcome, and TIA!

    Thanks again to Kelly's Corner...the following reg hacks solved the issue.

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "NoSaveSettings"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run]
    "SystemTray"="SysTray.Exe"
