Microsoft has teamed with leading gaming peripheral maker RAZER to unveil the Microsoft Habu a new gaming mouse. Powered by Razer Precision, the Habu's data path was opened from eight to 16 bits and features an advanced 2,000 DPI laser sensor; the result is an ideal gaming mouse with virtually no skipping or pixel jumping or negative acceleration. Habu has seven programmable buttons with Hyperesponse allow gamers to program their button functions; Razer's Hyperesponse technology reduces latency. It has interchangeable Side Button Panels provide gamers with two options for different hand sizes or preferences. It features Ultra-slick Teflon feet for smooth and quiet gliding and a Thin, flexible wire which gives the speed of a wired mouse and feeling of a wireless mouse. Microsoft Habu will be widely available in October 2006 for an estimated retail price of $69.95.

Also revealed is Microsoft's own IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 which is being re-released in October for $39.95.
