Home networking
I am going to get HughesNet satelite internet and I have 2 other homes I want to network to my router. (which I haven't decided on yet). One home is 300 ft away and the other is 200 ft away . I would like wireless but would the 300 ft home be able to receive? I sure would appreciate it if someone could tell me exactly what I need to connect all three homes to the satelite modem.

get a wireless router that can go that far, or get a linksys router and hack the antena
Operating Range: Indoor maximum: 400 feet / Outdoor maximum: 2,296 feet

Or get a Range Expander

i have good results with a linksys pci card wireless card 50$ or less at wally world but you have to get/have a good -dbi ant with a good ant cable to match your connection with the back of the wireless card all can be found on ebay go luck the better ant/cable the faster your connect/bars will go up so spend and get good outdoor ant with good cable and you won't ever regret it

also make sure the satellite provider allows sharing the connection to other homes. If not and they find out, you are in violation of their license agreement and can terminate service and force you to pay out the rest of your contract amount
