There are a few articles on cleaning LCD's, I use a soft cloth, very slightly damp, it does the trick. You also get LCD wipes, that come with special chemicals on them already to clean the LCD.

This appears to be a reputable product:

I am sure there are others - just Google and spend

I believe you can clean it with a very soft cloth lightly wet with liquid soap
(Mild) and then rinse with water. Of course you cannot have it dripping wet
wring it out before touching screen. it will take a few times to rinse. Do not
scrub. Dust is the biggest problem, when you wipe across with dry cloth it
is like using very fine sandpaper. You will need to check a small area.
before the whole thing. Residue from soap, alcohol, cleaning agents will give
you a funky screen. YOU may want to go to the laptop`s internet sight
    to get better instructions

As a rule, I use eyeglass cleaner sprayed on a microfiber cloth (coincidentally also designed for glasses). Be gentle. Dust first with something like a nylon filament duster.
