    QNX anyone?

Has anyone ever messed with QNX? I'd like to pick some brains.

Ive only worked with it a bit and I had a server I had to fix that ran QNX 4 but it was a modified version. But its using the bsd micro-kernel which makes the kernel very small, wich back in the day they had a free version that ran off a 1.44 floppy disc, it was crazy, had X, hardware checking, broswer and many other apps.

Oh um, what part did you want to pick?

It's basiclly BSD, but like cut down, so if you know Linux or BSD you will be fine, the structure very similer. The QNX bootup files are like bsd style so there not to hard to figure out. I had to re-write one of the inetd boot files and it was like linux or bsd. Sorry a bit loopy right now.

    anywho pick it.

Well, the issue that prompted me to post went away. Now I am concerned with the bootup. Specifically getting an image that boots one one machine to boot on a similar machine with a slightly different chipset.
