the drivers are on the cd that came with the player. You really need to use the drivers off the cd or somehow identify the player for further assistance. There will be numbers on the player somewhere, possibly under where you put the batteries or on the plate that covers the batteries. The brand/model/maker may also be on the packaging that came with the player.
Win98 doesn't offer much support these days so that is why the driver cd that came with the player is so important

With Windows 98 it is vital the drivers are installed before the unit is plugged in. How did you install the drivers? What errors do you get? Do you have any other usb devices? Is this Windows 98SE or Windows 98?

OK, when you say nothing appears.... do you mean you cannot use my computer to look at the files on the cd? If you can see the files on the CD, what is there?

You posted your problem not only in this thread, but in another here Platypus is now the last poster in that thread and he came up with the pictures and gave a link to the download for it. I know you looked at the pictures... did you not look at the download link?

You may want to have a look at the "Maximus Decim Native USB ver.2.2" patch for Win98. It is a 3rd-party add-on (install at your own risk). It gives Win98 native support for every USB flash memory I have tried. This included many of the portable MP3 players and so forth as well. I have used it on quite a few Win98 PCs to get flash drives and MP3 players installed and have never had an issue with it.

There is a link to a download page in the first post on that page.
