No this is not spam, this I think should be one of those tools that could become an essential for any tech at a party who are asked to diagnose users usb drive problems on the spot.

This may be very helpful. Anyone know if it detects Novell Mapped drives. Mainly because we have a few machines that have more than one ROM drive so the computers have a C, D and E drive already and our first Novell Mapped drive is F so sometimes when a USB Stick or Multi-Card reader is plugged in the drives do not show up unless you go to disk management and switch the letters.

I believe it shows mapped drives...I don't think there is a difference between novell and windows maps.

I didn't either but I have seen in Microsoft Network environments that a USB drive will automatically pick the next drive letter if a Microsoft drive is mapped, but it doesn't seem to happen if the drive is mapped by Novell.

Question USB not seen in My Computer

Using a Dell Optiplex GX270(WinXP Pro), and my USB flash drives(I've tried a few) cannot be recognized in My Computer. I tried the front and back USB ports, and no recognition. My Zip(250) and scanner(canon) and Laserjet(HP) all work off the USB drives but not the flash. I went and removed the upperfilters and lowerfilters in the registry, and the USB problem still persists. Any suggestions? Many thanks!!!!
