    HDD Partition Error

I have a client's computer here with an error I have never had before.

The HDD is an 80Gig, however it is only showing as a 10 Gig in My Computer, but, when I go to disk management in Admin Tools it shows the full 80Gig.

The Drive is formated as Fat32. I ran Partition Magic and it comes back as a type 7 partition with no options to convert.

The computer is running Win XP and I would prefer it if I could set it up as NTFS.
Also it is dual booting with Ubuntu Linux and I don't want to lose the Linux Boot manager as I am not very knowledgeable on how to fix that

OK, so how big is the linux partition? Is there a swap partition for ubuntu?
What partitions are shown in disk managent?
What service pack level is xp?

Thanks for the quick reply NooNoo.

I should have mentioned that the Linux is on a separated drive and XP SP2

ok... so xp is on which drive... the primary master?
And do you mean that there is a single partition of 80gig shown in disk management?
Does the model number for the drive match the actual model?

Yes XP is on Primary Master and management shows a single Fat32 80Gig partition. Model numbers are matching.

run sfc I think it may be spyware or a virus that has compromised explorer.... unless this only happened since ubuntu was loaded?
