    Remote Software

Had a call from someone wanting to be able to log in to thier WORK computer from her home. (She owns the business so there is no issue with corperate policy)

I have heard of "go to my PC" and a few others. I was just wondering if anyone could suggest one that works best for you.

    Thanks.

if you dont need file transfer then LogMeIn works great and is free...they also have a Pro version that isnt real expensive($70 per year).

WinVNC comes in several different flavors and is really easy to use. If the computer she wants to connect to is running XP Professional you can use Remote desktop sharing which is really slick and easy to setup. GoToMyPc is ok but why pay for it when theres a free solution. Also you can setup NetMeeting for desktop sharing. If you dont need desktop sharing and just file sharing FTP is really easy to use.
Reinstalling Windows to resolve an issue is Like cracking a Walnut with a Sledge Hammer. The Walnut will crack. But whats the point if nothing salvageable remains
