    ok I installed that driver. Everything pretty much looks the same.

    something really strange I just noticed.I turned clear type off and everything looked alot better.

    How come when I re started the computer Im having a dialog box pop up asking me if I want to run vt timer.exe and vptray.exe ?

    vptray is part of Norton

    vttimer is part of the video driver package

    OK so this is a new machine? Still under warranty?

    Yes it's still under warranty. I really haven't had any problems with the comp though, I'm thinking it maybe the monitor that causing the problem.

    Now that the clear type is off, is it acceptable?

    Reviewing the thread, I can't see anywhere that you have actually installed the monitor drivers available here (driver link is slow) or tinkered with the magic bright settings? It has a text mode...

    Yeah what I have will do, it's just that when I tried to install magic tune at the very beginning of this process it wouldn't let me install it on my computer because there was some sort of compatibility issue. I was trying to figure out what could have caused the compatibility issue between the program and my computer.

    your graphics card is not on this list All you can do is write to Samsung go here and click on monitor under the computer list and see if they intend to fix it, or possibly (if there is the facility on this noname motherboard) go and have a separate video card fitted that is on the above list.

    UPDATE! I purchased a new graphics card and that solved the problems thanks to you all for the help on this issue.
