Hi, I used to use Western Digital Lifeguard to pre-format the drive drive..writing all zeroes. I do not remember if it will scan the surface of the drive for bad sectors. If not, do you know any good utility that will do it other than Norton Ultilities or system works? can anyone give me a link for the Samsung hard drive diagnostic software HD103SI its one?
