Umm there is nothing wrong with a VIA chipset. I have used many with 939 and X2 and had no issues

Its Asus A8V Deluxe 2.0, agp, bios 1017
    (VIA K8T800Pro - VIA VT8237)
    Lately I have many problems (after I replaced A64 3200+ with A64 X2 4400+)
I also replaced vga, ram, psu...I removed Audigy. I made many fresh win xp installs, I put newest bios, win xp updates and installed amd's X2 patches...
So, the only thing I didnt chang is mobo..They told me that mobo's chipset(via) is bad and choose nFonrce3/4 instead. So my next move is to change it.

This link says about known problems with this cpu

Do u see any problems with your athlon?
How do u explain that when I double click a folder I see the clepsydra? Or when I press the ie's icon I see it stay pressed...Or cannot play properly some games like Colin McRae(too fast speed, picture freeze)
(Dont tell me the usuall reasons, defragment etc etc, Im familiar with these)

    clepsydra? You mean egg timer?
Probably spyware or you have a huge temporary internet file setting - put it at 50mb
Or you have a recent document that is on removable media that is no longer connected... or your antivirus is holding the files too long. How big is the page file?

lol no... nothing like that of course
And plz be serious, dont play with other people's problems. I said "not usual reasons" do u really think i m an amateur after all of my posts?

I explained that problems come up right after a fresh xp installation.

I m talking about known issues, MS itself tells it, see here and learn about

drop the attitude bud. If you have problems with your current settings try altering them. I can't see MSI releaseing a board into the market that simpley does not work correctly with Windows XP SP2 - that would be nuts. Have you tried resetting the CMOS / BIOS settings to default and testing to see if the problems are still evident?

Personally I don't even know why I'm looking at this thread as your attitude to others in my opinion stinks. Off the high horse - your the one asking for help, not the people trying to help you.

So all drivers / updates and Microsoft updates and fixes have been applied? Plus the solutions you have posted already? I don't fully understand what you mean.

Do you experience an issue with system lag? Does the system appear to "judder"? Is the sound / display effected?

and for the record, it wasn't a flame - it was an observation of your posts in this and other threads.

OK, what do you mean by
How do u explain that when I double click a folder I see the clepsydra?
    Did you get the hotfix?
I was serious. How big is your page file? What is your AV? The last question I am pleading the 5th on.

    "clepsydra" is clock - glass - hour - hourglass - sand - sand-glass - water
Its the icon we see when we open a folder or a program and we have to wait before (or if) we procceed.

U r not serious if u make me such idiot questions. One more time I ll tell u its not about known/easy reasons. Anyway, pagefile is 2GB-4GB, hotfix is on, AV is Zonealarm and I have no viruses, no spywares. Why I had no problem before I put X2 4400? Why MS itself say that we ll have less performance(http://support.microsoft.com/?id=896256#appliesto)??
I disabled cool&quiet, put on X2 patches but Colin McRae insists to run quicklier.
I changed all my material(psu, ram, vga, removed Audigy) exept mobo, maybe VIA is bad? Dont forget that my thread is about a new mobo.

That Microsoft article you keep mentioning tells how to 'throttle' the 4400 - have you done the registry edit?

edit: Forgive Garak - things may be a bit testy in Tyne & Wear today.

I am not in any position to chastise anyone nor erase or alter their posts.

Also, you might wanna read around a bit - many 32 bit games games DO NOT work well on 64 bit platforms.
