    xp pro password

I fixed a friend's pc that had a bad video card, wouldn't boot, but she forgot her password. I tried using a password reset tool on the ultimate boot cd but it didn't work. Are there any good software reset programs for this?

Used this a lot of times; 99% success rate.

    Good luck.

You can also get the UBCD for windows and there is a plugin that can be installed with it that will reset it. I have had 100% success with it.

I use ERD Commander, it works like a charm and has a number of useful tools as well as "locksmith", which unlocks passwords.

Big fan of ERD as well.

We also use a custom-made boot CD which has a number of Windows password revealers / resetters, but I still prefer ERD's interface and tools.
