    Critique my new system

I am building a new system and need to keep my overall price around 1k, please take a look at what I have picked so far and critique it. I would like to keep things as upgradeable as possible. I will be using my old dvd drive, hd's, etc...

Looks nice, not to be a spoil sport ... but why is there only a limited warranty on the motherboard?

Is AMD an option? Sometimes NewEgg runs some sweet AMD Processor and Motherboard combo deals if you wait and watch each day.

Not sure why there is a limited warrenty on that board.

AMD is a possible option but right now the Core 2 Duo beats anything out from AMD by a country mile.

That is a very nice system for the price, I would also consider replacing the stock cpu fan with a Zalman 9500 or something better, that way you can utilize the overclocking capabilities of that motherboard and processor!

I can't afford to right now. But I also am not an overclocker so that isn't a big deal to me.

Find out why that board has a restricted warranty - you don't want it like that!

I cannot believe you would even consider a board that has a limited 30 day warranty.
In these days a of 3 year warranties on motherboards, thats unthinkable no matter who made the board.
Being an AMD guy all the way I have to say that intel proc is awesome as is the rest of the system

Well I took a look and noticed all the nVidia 680i chipset mb's are limited warrenties. Why? I dunno. But I like that warrenty from EVGA so not that big of a deal. Just wish it wasn't so darn expensive.

That's got to be a mistake... you should contact them and ask, otherwise you might be buying a very expensive doorstop!

NewEgg return policies are customized per product line..as Kenteth says..the 30 day return policy states that is is exchangeable for 30 days through NewEgg..(to protect from DOA boards and the like) the manufacturers warranty still applies
