Right on the first part, undecided about the second part. Close enough.

I predict that the next poster will already have reneged on his / her 2011 resolutions - in total or in part.

    False.
Resolutions are meant to be broken - so I don't make any.
I predict the next poster has gained too much weight during the holidays.

    False.

I gained exactly the weight I'd set out to gain.

The next poster will also find a way to invalidate this statement, regardless of whether it applies to his / her situation or not.

    I agree. Totally. 100%.

I predict that the next poster is eyeing a Blu-ray burner for the desktop.

Agreed! UPS hasn't made a delivery to me on the scheduled day in about 3 months.

I predict the next poster considers "toilet paper" the crowning invention of Mankind.

Actually, I am more "agitated" than "shaken".

I predict the next poster is planning their garden planting strategy for this year.
I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet.

If by garden you mean yard and by planting you mean killing all grass then yes...
I predict the next poster hates mowing.

Not true! It is trimming that I despise.

I predict that the next poster has a penchant for poetry.

False, I never could write it and I rarely apreciate it.

I predict the next poster will post a reply to this post. (Sorry, I'm lazy today)

No, I do not have a penchant for poetry, but I do have a medallion of beef.

{Just being a Smarty Pants, Niclo.} So, I am also not responding to the previous post, yet, by mentioning it, I also have responded to it indirectly. But, the existence of the Babel Fish can only be attributed to...

I predict that the next poster is more of a limited edition print and an avid collector of good books.

These days, it's hard to afford a decent original or even afford to be an original. Just look at poor, misunderstood Charlie Sheen.

So, yeah, I'm a prints kinda guy, and I guess I actually have collected a pretty good military history library (tending toward specialization in Byzantine armies from the 6th to the 12th centuries). Correct prediction!

I predict that the next poster believes Canonical's decision to name Ubuntu 11.0 Oneiric Ocelot is a perfect example of why Linux will continue to be largely ignored by most computer users.

False, Though I'm sure that the naming has a little to do with the lack of interest in linux I would bet that lack of good, bug free, universal software, the fact that there are still crippling bugs with hardware, support only from a community that only knows how to speak advanced tech speak, and the cumbersome way to install 30%+ of the programs and drivers is what really scares off your general run of the mill users.

I predict the next poster wants to give me a 45k a year job OK because we know that's not going to happen I really predict the next poster believes books should not be phased out in favor of digital media.

Absolutely spot on! An e-book will never be able to replace an actual, paper book, be it hardback or paperback. You just cannot replace the "feel" of an actual book, the smell, the whole sensory feast that comes with a good book. Err,... Yes, I like books!

As an aside, Charlie Sheen is looking to hire a #winning intern!

The next poster is a reformed Vegan!
