Network adapter problem in vista 64

A while ago I had a problem with the network adapter on a Gateway.

I frequently had to reset it.

    I found this article
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233/en-us

It has a solution when the problem is caused by
"The router or the other device does not support the DHCP BROADCAST flag."

Do you think this could be related to the problem I was having.
This sounds like it would be a consistent problem.
I was having an intermittent problem.

It wouldn't hurt to try the registry modification...
I would think it would be a constant rather than an intermittent fault... and it would happen for both wired and wireless...it would be very useful to know which routers need the mod...
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
