Yes I have apart from this:
Find and delete the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\r?ndll.exe
I'm baffled at how thats done.

Well go to my computer, double click on your c: drive... from the folders, choose windows, from there choose system32 and look down the files until you find it. Highlight the file. Press and hold down shift key then tap del key to ensure it's not sent to the recycle bin, confirm deletion and it's done.
If you have not got hidden files and operating system files showing, you may need to turn this on. In my computer, click tools on the top menu and select folder options. Click the view tab and click the radio button to show hidden files and folders. The uncheck hide extensions for known file types, then underneath that uncheck hide protected operating system files.
Do this in SAFE mode. And don't forget to put back the settings in folder options when you are done.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
