    Vista Media Center Static

    Hey,

I have a system that has static when navigating Vista Media Center. If you play an MP3 through Media Center, the sound is crystal-clear (after you minimize Media Center)

Windows startup sounds etc. are all fine

I tried unplugging cable from the TV Tuner... no change

    System Specs

    Enermax Noisetaker 620W
    Gigabyte P965-DQ6

    OCZ 4GB Readyboost
    2x Asus SATA DVD-RW

This could be an irq sharing thing... have you checked that your video/tuner and sound are on different irqs?

This seems to be a problem with lots of sound cards and MC for vista having had a look around for similar problems.

I haven't checked that. I kind of assumed since it appears to just be the MC interface that it was either Creative or Microsoft's software that didn't like each other.
