Also have a 19" Samsung flat panel monitor. Might get a second one soon. Also have the big Zalman donut heat sink for socket AM2. All in an Antec 900 case and a PC Power & Cooling whisper 750 power supply. Haven't had time to put it to the test, but it looks good so far. I'l be getting my left knee replaced next Wednesday, so I probably will be off the net for some time. Probably won't get much done as far as setting up my super killer PC.

looks like a good setup, I'm just a little dubious about the effectiveness of crossfire, let me know how it goes

Laptops/Notebooks/PDA Mod
I was dual booting Vista32 and Ubuntu up until the end of last week. I got frustrated with it and blew my whole laptop away and went back to XP32. When the new Ubuntu is released, I'll set my test machine up to dual boot it and Vista and I can run any other OS's I need in vmware inside ubuntu.

knee replacement
yes, that is part of my upgrades. Will be working with 2 stainless steel and polyethylene knees. First one is working great.
I did the computer test in Vista and the machine scored a 5.4. Apparently that is not bad, according to the Vista info. This is the most powerful computer I have had anything to do with. First tests with cross fire look very encouraging. Don't know if SLI can beat it, but if so then SLI must be very good. I've been using AMD and ATI for some years, and I didn't see any compelling reason to change

Say, Jcook, if you're having a knee replacement why are you going to be off the Net? I mean, it isn't like you're going to be running any Marathons or chasing women for a week or two.

Out of curiosity, what processor are you using?

All the best on your knee upgrade, I am going to try Kubuntu Linux, does it have some sort of virtual pc in it?
Sounds like a nice rig there, I just dropped in a socket AM 2 board and 6000+ dual core Athlon 64 add to that one nice 640 meg gforce 8800 gts and I have a nice stable system, that 8800 blows away my 7950 gx2
Format c I'm givin er all she's got cap'in !!! )
