Installation of the contivity vpn client driver failed
I'm trying to install this Nortel VPN software onto a client's machine and that's the error I keep getting. I've tried shutting down IPSEC, to no effect. Anyone ever seen this before?
The system is a Compaq nx7400 running XP Pro. All Antivirus and firewall softwares have been shut down.
Apologies for posting this here as well as in the Networking forum, but I was getting no response there and am running up against a wall on this one.
Thanks much

What version of the client are you trying?
this thread has a couple of clues
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Version 5.01, but I found out what the issue was. Turns out the client had tried to install, failed and mucked up the registry. Rolled back the system to the day before that, installed with no problems.
Thanks for asking though, Noo.
