I take it I should install the drivers for the NIC to do what Geocomp link says to do. I will try to get to it later today...I have another crisis currently!

OK, now winipcfg is working and it says:

    PPP Adapter

    Adapter Address: 44-45-53-54-00-00
    IP Address: 0.0.0.0
    Subnet Mask: 0.0.0.0
    D. Gateway:

Then it gives the release all, renew all, more info and ok Option on the bottom

I also checked the DM again and I still have the BIOS error.

Have you flashed the bios for the motherboard?
Is the mac address (adapter address) different on the other machine?

The only thing I could find was a model number, FT-5450-00. There is a Digicom sticker with these numbers 2108010
