    Resolved [RESOLVED] System Admin Policies

    Hello again,
Its been a busy week. I have this error I get when I try to uninstall software on my PC.

    HP Compaq Evo d51c
    pent 4
    512 mem

anyways when I try to uninstall any software I get this annoying error:

System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation.

    How do I fix this!

    What is the operating system?

Are you positive the user account you are using has full admin rights or is it designated as just a normal user?

What is the sofware you are trying to install?

Have you scanned for viruses and spyware?
At the source of every error which is blamed on the computer, you will find at least two human errors, including the error of blaming it on the computer.

They are using Win2kPro and have full admin rights. I used the current user and logged in as admin. With either one I get that error. I'm trying to uninstall MS Office 97 and install MS Office 2000. I scanned their pc monday and found 16 trojans on their PC I cleaned them all up I think! I'm pretty sure that one of those viruses messed up the registry for MS Office 97 that why I'm trying to uninstall it! I'll try scanning it again.

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Reboots you gotta love them! Nevermind! I thought I would reboot this morning just for the hell of it, and it worked! Their docs are opening just fine now. Programs can be uninstalled also. Yay!
